Our nannies come from many backgrounds and a range of experiences, which is part of what makes them so unique! Below is a list of titles and descriptions for various roles that a nanny might play.
NANNY (Full or Part Time)
Nannies must love working with children and be experienced in doing so on a weekly basis. Some nannies are talented in arts and crafts, educational activities, cooking, or light housecleaning. CPR, First Aid, and childcare references are all helpful in getting a job as a nanny.
MOTHER'S HELPER (Full or Part Time)
A mother's helper has to be comfortable working along side the parents in the home environment. Usually, they care for newborns or infants, but may also help in light domestic work.
NANNY SHARE
In a nanny share situation, nannies are taking care of children from two different families. There are two scenarios for nannies shares. The first scenario is that nannies would care for the children from both families at the same home everyday, and in the second scenario, the nanny would be work full-time, splitting their hours between the two families at their separate homes. Usually nanny shares that split their hours between the two families live relatively close to each other.

BABYSITTER / TEMPORARY NANNY
Temporary nannies can work on various occasions to fill in during daytime, evening, weeks at a time, or even travel on family vacations. Nannies must always be aware that it is their duty to inform the Town & Country Nanny Agency about each day that they work for T&CNA families.
